Description
Every batch of Savonnerie Daniel soap is lovingly handmade, using the same blend of natural oils and butters designed to care for skin, plus a selection of essential oils and other natural ingredients. This means that no two bars are exactly the same, and variations in the colour or pattern of individual bars are all part of the process!

Frequently Asked Questions…
All our soaps use the same basic recipe, which includes a number of oils and butters to create a product that feels good to use and should lather well regardless of local water (hard or soft). We then add different ingredients and essential oils to create each individual kind of soap.
Any allergens in the soaps occur naturally in the essential oils and are listed on the individual page for each product.
The net weight of each bar is shown as 95g. This means that your bar of soap, without packaging, will weigh at least 95g – and possibly up to 10-15g more.
Our soaps have been tested by a number of people, including individuals with known sensitivities to other soap products, none of whom reported any issues as a result of testing. However, we cannot guarantee that Savonnerie Daniel soap is safe to use for every single skin type, so if you get a reaction, please stop using the product straight away and let us know (via the contact form), quoting the batch number if possible.
A proportion of Savonnerie Daniel’s profits each year will be donated to Huddersfield-based Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Reuben’s Retreat, in Glossop. Both are tremendous organisations that provide invaluable support to life-limited children and their families and to parents bereaved of a child. We are very proud to be able to contribute to the work of both these charities.
We buy organic ingredients where feasible and try to ensure that they’re sustainable, and we recycle our supplier packaging (mainly cardboard boxes and plastic and glass bottles. We also use recyclable and/or biodegradable packaging for our products: for example, our tissue paper wrapping can be recycled, while the ingredients sticker and our brand sticker are both biodegradable.
However, we recognise that this will be a work in progress, so if you spot something that we could be doing better, please let us know!
